Have you ever wondered why God calls us to submit to authority, especially when people in authority don’t make sense at all or even are totally braindead?
So you’re out of shape. Guess what, one week in the gym isn’t going to get you back in shape. And if your relationship with God has been suffering, one week of consistent prayer doesn’t mean you’re back, either.
In Isaiah 61, after it lists what Jesus is going to do (heal the sick, free the captives), it says “THEY shall rebuild the ancient ruins.” It didn’t say Jesus would do it… it said that we would do it. What are the ancient ruins?
